An understated beauty is present on the new Mercedes-Benz E350 CDI Sport BlueEfficiency cabriolet, it has been noted.

Reviewing the model for the Times, Tom Ford remarks that among the standout features are the technological innovations employed to ensure motorists and passengers ride in comfort and luxury.

Mercedes-Benz car hire clients may be interested in the AIRCAP system that the vehicle uses to keep everybody in the car warm, when the roof is down.

A wind deflector on the top of the windscreen means cold air gets redirected above the cabin, something that will allow for open-top driving all year round.

Mr Ford writes: “This cabrio doesn’t try to be a tooth-rattling pseudo sports car, but prefers instead to glide around in genteel fashion … and it’s all the better for it.”

Meanwhile, Mercedes-Benz says that the exterior of the car has been designed to give motorists a balance between traditional and up-to-date styling.

The cabriolet is available with a choice of seven different engines, ranging from the entry level E220 up to the powerful 387bhp E500.
